Es musste erst ein Verlag gegründet werden, damit Maria Lazars Roman Die Vergiftung 2014 erscheinen konnte. Passenderweise nennt sich die betreffende, heldenhafte Wiener Edition "Das vergessene Buch" (DVB). Verleger Albert C. Eibl, Jahrgang 1990, hatte es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, die Bücherwelt gegen den Kanon zu bürsten.
Um diese schreibenden Frauen dem jahrzehntelangen Vergessen zu entreißen, beschloss der 26-jährige Germanistikstudent Albert Eibl vor zwei Jahren, einen Verlag zu gründen und die aus dem Gedächtnis verschwundenen Werke neu herauszugeben.
Man fragt sich, warum und wie das Werk ein Jahrhundert lang der Aufmerksamkeit entgehen konnte.
